Progress of Kemenko 1 Office in IKN, Set to Accommodate Ceremony Officers for Indonesia's Independence Day
The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) has reported that the construction of the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) 1 Office in the Nusantara Capital (IKN) has reached 78.9%. This building will be used to accommodate officers for the 79th Independence Day ceremony of Indonesia.
PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono stated that Kemenko 1 Office is one of the accommodations for the officers of the 79th Independence Day ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2024, which will be held in IKN.
"Kemenko 1 Office will house the officers of the August 17 ceremony in IKN," said Basuki in a written statement, quoted on Friday (June 28, 2024).To prepare for the event, Basuki has also requested that temporary bathrooms be added on each floor. Currently, the building only has 6 permanent bathrooms on each floor.
"We will provide 10 portable bathrooms on each floor. Although they will only stay here for one or two days, people still need to shower. The important thing is that the portable bathrooms are clean, with a water supply that doesn't require a tank," he explained.
Overall, the Kemenko Office consists of 4 towers. Out of these, Tower 1 floors 1-3 will be used to accommodate the ceremony officers and are targeted to be completed by July 7, 2024. Each tower consists of 6 floors and 1 semi-basement floor, equipped with panoramic elevators.Currently, the overall construction progress has reached 78.9%. The Kemenko 1 Office will eventually be able to accommodate a total of 1,345 civil servants, including ministers, echelon 1 and 2 officials, civil servants, and staff.
The construction of the Kemenko 1 Office is located in the Core Area of the Central Government (KIPP) and began on December 30, 2022. The contractor for the project is PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung, with a contract value of IDR 745.7 billion.The scope of this project includes planning work, structural work, architectural work, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) work, interior work, landscaping work, area work, and achieving Green Building standards with main criteria.
