Minister Basuki Says Palace in IKN Will Be Completed by Mid-July
Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono stated that the progress of the construction of the palace and offices in the new capital city of Nusantara (IKN) has reached 82%. The construction is targeted to be completed by mid-July.
"If the (construction progress) of IKN is all at 82 percent," said Basuki after the ceremony of the KKN-PPM briefing and deployment at the Balairung UGM courtyard, as reported by detikJogja, (28/6/2024).
By mid-July, all construction processes in IKN will be visible, including the presidential palace and other buildings."Later, at the end, mid-July, after July 20, everything will be visible, now it is 82 percent complete," he explained.
Basuki mentioned that the buildings that have reached 82 percent completion include the palace, the presidential office, and 12 towers of civil servant housing.
"The palace, the presidential office, the coordinating ministries' offices, ministerial official residences, and 12 towers of civil servant housing, God willing, will be completed by July. On average (all buildings) are 82 percent," he elaborated.
