Jokowi Ready to Start Working in IKN in July
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will begin working in the new capital city of Nusantara (IKN) this July. Jokowi announced this while inspecting the readiness of the ceremonial field for the Indonesian Independence Day celebrations.
"Insha Allah, I will start working in IKN in July," Jokowi said through his Instagram account on Wednesday (5/6/2024).
Through Instagram, Jokowi stated that he is checking the readiness of the ceremonial field today.
"Today I am inspecting the readiness of the ceremonial field that will be used for the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence in the Nusantara Capital Area (IKN)," Jokowi said.
Jokowi mentioned that preparations are almost complete. He also noted that the first phase of infrastructure in IKN has reached 80% completion.
"The preparations are almost finished, as well as the progress of several first-phase infrastructure projects in IKN, which are about 80% complete," he said.
